My Top 5 Beginner DIY Power Tools

If you are looking to start doing DIY projects around your home, here is a list of my top 5 power tools I think you should get. I took a look at all the tools that I have, and pick out 5 that I had to have. Yours might be different, let me know if it is.

Drill

I have two drills. The one on the left is a regualar drill and the one on the right is a impact drill. It was a deal that I couldn’t pass up. Plus is have to have two. You can put a drill bit on the regular drill and your phillips tip in the other and not have to switch between the two when you are doing a large project.

Orbital Sander

I love this little guy. If you are going to be doing a lot of wood projects, I would recommend one of these. Its a great finish sander, you can put different levels of grit sandpaper on it. I do a lot of wood projects so this was a must have.

Jigsaw

A jigsaw is great for cutting curves. Plus you can switch the blade out and cut different materials.

Chop  Saw “Miter Saw”

This was the first big power tool that I ever owned. I have had it for about 10 years. Its great for making clean straight cut and cutting angles. I have done a ton of projects with this saw, its even been to Mexico.

Circular Saw

This one was hard. If I couldn’t have my table saw, I would want this. Its great for ripping down large sheet material. You can make angle cuts if need.
